My 600-lb Life's Zsalynn Admits to 'Being Depressed' Since Losing 300 Pounds

Publish date: 2024-07-19

A gradual victory. My 600-lb Life’s Wednesday, April 13, episode catches up with Zsalynn Whitworth, who admits to struggling with self-image issues despite her healthier physique, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek.

The TLC unscripted series’ preview clip features Whitworth, who weighed more than 600 pounds before dropping 300 following gastric-bypass surgery, telling the camera that she and husband Gareth have finalized their divorce. The pair are sharing custody of daughter Hannah, which the mom admits has been difficult.

“Being alone a lot has been a bit of an adjustment for me, so I’ve struggled with being depressed when I don’t see Hannah for a while,” Whitworth says. “And being alone has made it even harder for me to deal with my cravings.”

“I know I should be loving life and loving everything that I’ve done to change myself, but I’m still insecure,” she continues, pointing out that she has decided to undergo body-contouring surgery to remove excess skin. “I still don’t feel confident.”

My 600-lb Life airs on TLC Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
